At 48 years old, Esai Morales is just starting his family. For the non-celebrities, this may seem a bit older than normal, but in Hollywood it’s right on time.
Esai Morales is known for playing in La Bamba and on the television show Caprica. The baby, Mariana, weighed in at 8 lbs 11 oz and was born happy and healthy to Morales and girlfriend Elvimar Silva. When asked how he felt about the baby Esai stated, “I can’t think of another time in life that I’ve been happier than now.” That is only a little bit cliché.
After La Bamba, the world say very little of Esai Morales, but he has been working here and there. The actor has starred in the CSI Miami TV show as well as NYPD Blue. Recently, he finished shooting Gun Hill Road, which is in post production. There is a rumor that he will start shooting his next movie, The Way She Moves, soon – though directors may have to wait a bit while Esai Morales recovers from those late night feedings and diaper changes.
