Nick Lachey just got hitched to Hollywood hotty Vanessa Minnillo and he’s not waiting around for fatherhood to “just happen.” The star has been quite vocal about wanting children and it seems Mrs. Lachey is ready to be a mom.
According to a recent quote in BabyRazzi, Lachey is working hard to make this baby thing work. Now, we don’t know if that means he’s working hard on convincing his new wife or actually working hard trying to make a baby. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Lachey, the former lead singer for 98 Degrees, seems to have fallen off the map professionally, but that doesn’t mean he’s living off his celebrity wife. Lachey is a part owner of two sports teams – Hollywood Fame and Tacoma Rainiers. While these small-time clubs are not likely making a ton of money, the couple doesn’t seem to be hurting for cash. The two were married on a private island owned by the one and only, Sir Richard Branson.
Minnillo used to be a television correspondentfor Entertainment Tonight, but she left that job in 2007. She has been acting on and off in a few one-time spots on hit TV shows and hosted the show True Beauty for two seasons.
