Two of the stars of the band OneRepublic are fathers, which makes for an interesting problem when it comes to touring and long engagements away from home. The band has admitted to staying away from home for six weeks or more at a time when promoting a new album or touring, but now that fatherhood is in the picture time away is cut much shorter.

Guitarist for OneRepublic welcomed his first child in June 2010. He immediately recognized that life was going to be different. Now, lead singer Ryan Tedder has jumped headfirst into fatherhood as his wife gave birth just 11 weeks ago. Despite touring with U2 and Maroon 5, the band finds the hardest things in life are the most trivial – like naming a baby. “The hardest thing is to pick a name that not a billion people have used,” says frontman Ryan Tedder. The name for his son, Copeland Cruz, came from Aaron Copeland and Stewart Copeland.
