Living the pregnant life and pregnancy have never been in the cards for Oprah Winfrey.
What is it about Oprah Winfrey that keeps her out of the celebrity tabloid spotlight? Sure, there have been stories about Oprah Winfrey and Steadman, but none of these stories have ever even attempted to link Oprah Winfrey with a pregnancy. This is an odd thing because Oprah Winfrey has battled with weight gain and weight loss for her entire on-screen life. The weight falls down and then comes back again, and in the celebrity world that is the first sign of being pregnant, but not for Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah Winfrey was born in 1954 which makes her 66 years old as of 2020 and pretty close to being out of the cards for a pregnancy of her own. Over the years, Oprah Winfrey has covered enough pregnancy-related news to be a mom all her own, however. She has housed a pregnant man, pregnant teens, and nearly every pregnant celebrity that wanted to open the flood gates to their happiness about being a mom, but why never a baby for Oprah Winfrey?
The media has left the topic alone to the point that there is no information on Oprah Winfrey even vaguely related to pregnancy. There was once a speech when Oprah Winfrey was opening her first school in Africa. She was tearful and taken aback by her own ability to help so many children. Maybe this is the key to Oprah Winfrey and her lack of motherly drive. She does not need to have a child of her own or a pregnancy when she is the mother to an entire country.
The lack of pregnancy could also have to do with the early years in the life of Oprah Winfrey. At the age of 14, Oprah gave birth to a son who died while still an infant. She was also raped at the age of 9, so the emotional scarring from the turmoil in her early life may have more to do with her lack of pregnancy through the years than many people realize.
Oprah was not always the influential mega mogul she is today. She was born into a poor family and worked hard to move up the financial ladder. She was born to a single mother still in her teenage years. After a long journey through poverty, she ended up living with a man in Tennessee who she calls her father to this day. It is in Tennessee that she landed her first job in the media market and the rest, as they say, is history.
Oprah Winfrey is one of the few celebrities that do not need to be on the front pages of a tabloid magazine to stay in the spotlight. She has earned her freedom and safety from those tabloid pages and while we have never seen a headline claiming that Oprah Winfrey is pregnant, there is little doubt about the mother she truly is. Oprah Winfrey is a philanthropist that changes lives and those lives include children all over the world.
