Thermometer For Charting

Q: Do I need a special bbt thermometer or can I use a regular one?

A: A regular mercury glass fever thermometer that can display degrees to one-tenth is adequate, but most glass fever thermometers are only accurate to 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit and cannot be used for BBT charting. A special BBT thermometer is usually more reliable and more accurate than the fever thermometer.
