breastfeeding and ttc

dear dr. amos,                                                                          i am still nursing my 12 month old 3-4 times a day, with one in middle of night or around 5:30am.  in the past i have breastfed my 3yr &7yr old until 21mon of age.             i have just had my 4th postpartum cycle all of which have been 29 days.  i am trying to chart my temps however it is inevitable that someone wakes me up once or twice most nights.  this month i am also charting cervical position.  i have a retroverted uterus.  i was unable to temp the two most important days.  on cd 14 my cervix started to soften and on cd 16 & 17 i had " SHOW"  by cd 18 cervic was hard and low.  my average temps with some misssing days before suspected ovulation was 97.5-97.8.  last night i had uninterrupted sleep and my temp was only 97.9.  , which is cd 19.  on cd 16, it was 97.6 (suspected ov-SHOW day).    not knowing cd 17 & 18 i don't know if that was an increase in temp.    i always have ov pain when i ovulate but i still have it 3 dpo.  i also have had a short luteal phase my past three cycles.  is that due to breastfeeding?  can i go by cervical position to determine ov since it is hard to get enough sleep?  could i have ovulated or did my body try to gear up for it but didn't.  any info would be helpful.  thank you for your time.                                                                                       crissy
