D&C

Dr. Amos I had a D&C in Jan I was 9 weeks along it took me 5 months to get pregnant and now it has been 6 months of trying again. When do you think I should see a RE? I have an appt with my OB next week. I am ovulating...but just can't seem to get pregnant. Any suggestions?

Thank you I appreciate that. It is a good thing right? If my temps keep on going up is that ok? When my temps go down that means AF is happening right?

Looks like you ovulated around CD 17.

Dr. Amos I would like you to look at my BBT Chart. What are your thoughts on it? Did I ovulate?

If you are under 35 and have a regular period then most doctors suggest 12 months of trying after the miscarriage. That doesn't mean you absolutely cannot see the RE earlier if you want to.

We have checked his sperm count and he is fine. So I should wait one more month making it 12months of TTC. Or do you start from square one when you have a miscarriage? Meaning since it was 6 months ago I have 6 months till I see a RE.

The general rule is 6 months if you are over 35 and 12 months if you are under 35 and without a problem otherwise.

We have a handy tool that helps you find out when to see the RE: http://babymed.com/fertility-tools/specialist/

The first step is to have his sperm count checked and you do not need an RE for this.
