Sex can be exiting even when trying to get pregnant

In order to spice up your sex life and still get pregnant, many people will try to tell you and your partner to relax. Even though it may seem difficult, it is usually the simple answer that is the most complicated.

Couples all over the country who are trying to get pregnant are probably getting frustrated when it doesn’t happen the first time. And the added stress on the relationship usually does not help with their sex life. So in order to spice up your sex life and still get pregnant, many people will try to tell you and your partner to relax. Even though it may seem difficult, it is usually the simple answer that is the most complicated.

Couples can also spice up their sex lives by taking time out to get away. Try taking a romantic vacation. It doesn’t have to be out of town, but you and your partner can take a few days away from work and other obligations in order to focus on the relationship.

Sex when you are pregnant

Once you do get pregnant, there will be a noticeable shift in your sex life. For most it is a positive shift. Many women experience an increased sex drive and more intense orgasms during pregnancy. And men will notice a different too. Some men will enjoy watching their partner’s body change throughout the pregnancy. But for some couples there can be barriers.

Challenges come with the territory of deciding to be parents, so this is a good time to recognize the challenge with your sex life and try to find ways to meet this challenge. Much of this is psychological. With mood changes, weight gain, and some general discomfort, many women no longer feel attractive to their mate. This can be helped with extra special attention when women are feeling down.

Men may sometimes be turned off by a pregnant woman as well. While most men will be kind enough to keep this to themselves, it is still a challenge that needs to be overcome in order to continue a good sex life. If a man really does not want to have sex with their partner, they can instead focus more on the emotional side of the relationship by paying a lot of attention to their partner and focusing on their needs.

What about sex and the baby?

Many first time parents will also worry about the affects of their sex life on their baby. If you are having a normal pregnancy, there will be no harmful affects on the baby because you and your partner are having sex. Men may worry that they could hurt the baby, but this is anatomically impossible. If there have been complications in the past with miscarriages or any other unusual things come up, it will be best to consult your doctor about having sex.

And don’t forget about position too. Sexual positions will need to change once a woman’s belly begins to grow. The missionary position becomes much more difficult and sometimes uncomfortable for the woman in later pregnancy. This problem can be solved if you experiment with different positions such as the woman on top, rear entry, or the woman on her side, which is often best for late pregnancy.
