New York City in the fall always inspires me - from back to school to fall fashion, there is a lot of energy in the air. While I would love to indulge in all of Fall's fun trends in my designs, I understand what works and what doesn't on the pregnant form.. So, I have curated a list of my fall do's and how to rock them. I am pregnant with my fourth, so these are the fall fashion guidelines that I'm currently following with my own wardrobe :)

Prints
Most people associate bright, fun prints with spring time, but don't shy away from them in the fall - in the right fit, they are a welcomed addition to your fall wardrobe, balancing all the traditional neutrals of the season. Prints can take you into winter as well if you choose designs with color schemes that work with black tights.

LBD
What fall wardrobe is complete without the tried and true LBD? I like details that make the go-to number stand out a bit, from embellishment to pleating. Even black can't hide a bad fit, so make sure to watch out for unwanted puckering and fabrics that show the lumps and bumps we want to keep covered - but by all means, try a fitted style that embraces the baby bump!

Layers
Be prepared for the variability of fall weather…cool mornings, warm afternoons, A/C and heaters are all in the mix! Layering in the right proportions offers a fashionable solution. Try a shift dress with a tailored blazer and scarf or leggings with an oversized sweater.

Sleek Outerwear
A great coat is an instant way to chic. Running errands? Keep your comfortable black leggings on, pair with a cozy knit, smoking shoe (this season's update to the ballet slipper comes in a variety colors to add pop to your outfit) or bootie and a sleek maternity coat. This effortless look is a staple for our stylish, expectant moms. Depending on the weather in your region, choose from a light-weight trench, to heavier wool pea coats and puffers.
