Implantation bleeding is usually spotting, it's scanty, pinkish and not red and heavy like a period. Implantation bleeding does not follow the normal pattern of a period (light to heavy to light) and about 12-14 dpo. And it rarely if ever lasts longer than a day or two. The signs of implantation can often be confusing, and the best and only sign that it was the first sign of pregnancy is a positive pregnancy test about 7-10 days after implantation.
