OD/DD Day:

Your baby is growing and doing new activities. At 15 weeks, the fetus has developed the sucking reflex and can sometimes be seen on an ultrasound sucking his/her thumb. The sucking reflex is one of the most important reflexes a baby has as it enables a baby to breastfeed or bottle feed effectively. Your baby now measures between 4 and 41/2 inches and weighs up to 3 ½ ounces.
Tips for this week:
The uterus continues to grow. At your next doctor's appointment, the doctor may take a fundal height measurement. Fundal height is the distance between the top of the uterus and pubic bone.
