A babymoon is a vacation taken by a couple during pregnancy, close to before or after the birth of their baby. While a honeymooon is done shortly after the wedding, the babymoon is done specifically around the delivery of the baby. Initially, the babymoon was conceived (so to speak) as a vacation after delivery so that parents spend bonding with a recently born baby. More recently, a babymoon was also described as a vacation before delivery of the baby, during pregnancy, in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together before the baby is born.
