OD/DD Day:
-49

Weight gain continues during the 33rd week, while edema (swelling) is also normal. It is important to do regular blood pressure screenings during the last few weeks of pregnancy since an increase in blood pressure can be a sign of preeclampsia. Also, take note of any changes in vision, protein in the urine, and/or sharp increases in weight.

Tips for this week

Rest is very important during this time. Working women should be sure to rest 15 minutes for every hour of work, and women working at a desk job should get up every hour to minimize swelling and risks of blood clots. It is a good idea to eat smaller meals throughout the day, so be sure to keep trail mix and other healthy pregnancy snacks around.
