Areas of Interest

Specializing in health and wellness, Danielle has written on various health topics and conditions for magazines and websites, including the new expert cancer website SurvivorNet. Her areas of specialty include pregnancy, reproduction, thyroid disease, cancer treatments, and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). Her article “POTS: The Teen Disease You’ve Probably Never Heard Of” went viral within 24 hours of being posted.

Danielle turned to her passion for medicine and health and became a health columnist for New York Parenting. In addition, she has also been a writer for the popular parenting blog, Disney’s Babble, as well as Contributing Editor for New York Family Magazine, a monthly columnist for Charlottesville Family, and a contributing writer for Midwifery TodayMommy Poppins, and Brooklyn Paper.

Health Writing Is Personal

Danielle’s goals when writing and researching health topics is to educate and inform because she attests that knowledge most certainly does bring power. The daughter of a high-risk pregnancy nurse/ultrasound specialist and a general surgeon, she has been curious and learning about health and medicine her entire life. Later on, as a mom of children with not widely known autoimmune issues, she found herself immersed in a world where little information was available and what was out there was faulty, at best. This reaffirmed her life’s work of getting clear and concise health news out to the public. Danielle feels that being able to offer accurate health information to women for the past two years at babyMed is a unique privilege.

Editorial Career

Danielle began her career in the parenting magazine sector as an Editorial Assistant at Big Apple Parent working under her greatest mentor and founder, Helen Freedman. She then became Managing Editor at Davler Media Group for NYMetroParents, gaining a wealth of experience in overseeing both the print and digital editorial operations of the magazines.

A mom of three, essayist, and proud Brooklyn native, Danielle is also a dog lover, music fan, and always, always a dreamer.
