Q: Can I get a flu shot in pregnancy?

A: The flu is much more serious in pregnant women than in non-pregnant women. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) suggests that women who are pregnant during the flu season should get vaccinated against the flu. Not only should you get the influenza vaccination, but so should your husband and maybe any other children you have (if they are over 6 years old) to prevent them from infecting you and the rest of the family.
