Kristen Bell, 32, is expecting her first child with long-term fiancée Dax Shepard, 37. Hollywood's comedic couple have been together since 2007 and engaged for three years. The couple is waiting to marry until same-sex marriage is legal in the state of California.
The couple explained their decision on The View in July: "We wouldn't want to invite all of our friends who don't have that right to celebrate us, who have that right. We just don't feel right about that," said Dax. Kristen later added, "Can you think about how rude that would feel?"
The couple, who appeared in Hit and Run this summer, said while promoting the film that they intended to have children, and would probably not wait until marriage. According to Kristen on Larry King Live in August, they aren't bothered by the idea of having children before marriage.
The first child for the hilarious duo is due in late Spring, according to their representative and PEOPLE. A close friend also confirmed to the magazine: "They're so excited - they're both ecstatic."
