Navigating the Different Types of Breast Cancer

All cells within the breast are susceptible to cancer, even in men. There are several recognized types of breast cancer, and each has its own symptoms, treatments, and fatality rates. Some more commonly known types of breast cancer are:
  • Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS)
  • Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC)
  • Cribriform Carcinoma (IDC Type)
  • Medullary Carcinoma (IDC Type)
  • Mucinous Carcinoma (IDC Type)
  • Papillary Carcinoma (IDC Type)
  • Tubular Carcinoma (IDC Type)
  • Invasive Lobular Carcinoma (ILC)
  • Inflammatory Breast Cancer
  • Lobular Carcinoma In Situ (LCIS)
  • Paget’s Disease of the Nipple
  • Phyllodes Breast Tumors
  • Recurrent and Metastatic Breast Cancer
  • Male Breast Cancer
