Francis Bacon who lived over 400 years ago was a famous English philosopher, statesman, scientist, jurist, orator, essayist, and author. He served both as Attorney General and Lord Chancellor of England. His works established methodologies for scientific inquiry, simply the scientific method. One of his famous quotes was:  "Knowledge is Power". And when it comes to getting pregnant and having a healthy baby, knowledge more than ever is power. Your knowledge will improve your chances of having a healthy pregnancy. After all, we have learned a lot in school about how to NOT get pregnant, but not much about HOW to get pregnant. And that is where BabyMed coimes on.

In a study published in the journal Fertility and Sterility, 1,000 women were asked about their knowledge of pregnancy, reproduction and sex – and the results were concerning. The overall knowledge about fertility was low. About 1 in 2 women did not know that a woman’s eggs are as old as she is, that taking birth control pills for more than 5 years does not have a negative affect on a woman’s later fertility, that the majority of fertility conditions are not exclusively female factor, and that the age of her male partner is an important factor in a woman’s chances of becoming pregnant.
