After finally admitting to being pregnant with her first child (after weeks of sporting a 6-month old bump all around town) Jessica Simpson revealed that she is already ready for more children.
On Halloween Simpson took to Twitter to share a photo of the star in a mummy costume with the words, “It’s true – I’m going to be a mummy!” The official announcement came after weeks of speculation surrounding a growing belly and loose-fitting clothing. We all knew the rumors were about to be confirmed, however, when Simpson spent the week before the announcement photographed in tight, bump-accentuating attire, though her lips remained sealed.
The singer/clothing designer is now making headlines once again in the celebrity baby world. “Pregnancy was meant for me – it really was,” she said. And though Simpson has yet to experience the grand finale of the pregnancy process, she reports that she is already ready for more! “I can’t wait to have more kids,” she told People Magazine. “I love being pregnant. I have such an incredible connection with myself and with my body that I’ve never had before.”
Simpson also spoke about a sort of spiritual awakening that she has had during her first pregnancy, stating: “Just knowing that you’re creating a life is such a spiritual thing. Everything is growing, but you’re making a life. It’s pretty cool.”
With all this talk about bodily awareness and connection, it sounds like Jessica may be doing some prenatal yoga, a recommended form of exercise and wellness activity for pregnant women. We have yet to see her sporting a yoga mat around town but won’t be one bit surprised when we do!
Simpson is also enjoying the perks of having a supportive fiancé at her side. Eric Johnson, who Simpson has been engaged to since November 2010, has reportedly been accompanying Jessica every step of the way. “When I’m tired, I make Eric rub me. Eric is very, very supportive. We’re both extremely excited. He’s been to every doctor’s appointment with me,” Simpson says. “We just love it,” she continues, “We can’t believe we get to do this, and we get to do it together. We’re going to be a rock star family!”
