With companies like Versace and Chanel knocking down the door, you’d think supermodel Devon Aoki would be hesitant to have children, but love must have had quite the effect on the star. In June 2011, she and fiancé James Bailey welcomed their first child together. The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony in April 2012 and announced a second pregnancy in November of the same year. The baby was reportedly due in January, but Aoki held on until mid-February when a baby girl was born.
Aoki is a star in her own right, but the apple did not fall far from the tree. Her father was Hiroaki Aoki, the founder of Benihana, an upscale Japanese steakhouse chain. Money clearly attracts money as Aoki’s husband, James Bailey is a financier, but little else is known about the man. There is no Wikipedia page and no detailed information about what Bailey actually does for a living; clearly whatever he does is enough for Aoki.
Along with acting as the face of Lancome and modeling for Lexus, the supermodel also dabbles in acting. She scored a role as a stunt-driving street racer in 2 Fast 2 Furious. She later starred in movies like Sin City, DOA: Dead or Alive and War.
The couple’s first baby girl, Alessandra, weighed in at 7-pounds 11-ounces. Mom and baby are doing well.
