1 large onion, diced
2 tsp caraway seeds, ground
1 tsp celery seeds, ground
3 tb butter, unsalted
2 tb olive oil
2 large potatoes, diced
10 cups low sodium chicken stock
½ to ¾ lb of sausage, garlic preferred
2 cups dark chicken meat, cooked and chopped
4 cups white cabbage, shredded fine
½ cup parsley, minced
Salt
Pepper
DIRECTIONS
Variations: Warsaw Jewish Penicillin may contain a bit too much sodium from the stock and garlic sausage for women to feel comfortable fighting cold in pregnancy. The sausage can be removed, or less added to the soup pot.
