The postpartum period can be dangerous

While the postpartum (postbirth) period is usually a happy time for most women, it can also be stressful, and possibly dangerous. You need to care for your new baby, yet, at the same time, you have to remember that your body has undergone changes that need to be addressed. This period lasts for many months and there are many potential complications for a new mom which may even be life-threatening. Over 1 in 2 maternal deaths happen after delivery.
