Even one glass of alcohol can significantly harm the developing fetus.

Alcohol is considered one of the strongest teratogenic drugs affecting the fetus. Women who drink alcohol during pregnancy can deliver a baby with 'fetal alcohol syndrome.'

There is no known safe threshhold for alcohol in pregnancy and even if you drink alcohol before pregnancy it may affect the fetus and your fertility. If you want to make sure that you won't do any harm to the fetus, the safest approach is therefore not to drink any alcohol while you TTC and during pregnancy.
